MILAN, TORTONA – DESIGN WEEK “A PINNACLE OF REFLECTION” 3M

“A Pinnacle of Reflection”, an installation for the Milan Design Week 2019. A result of the collaboration between the 3M Design global Team and the internationally renowned Architects Matteo Thun & Partners. This installation required a close coordination between the various firms involved in the construction and a fast working pace in order to be presented during the Milan Design Week 2019. Taramelli contributed to the construction of the tower laying the foundations of this installation.
A tower with a wooden structure by Rubner Holzbau that extends into the heights. An exhibition that projects itself into the future, a combination of innovative materials and films resulting from years of research and innovation by the 3M Team, focused on sustainability.
“A pinnacle of Reflection”, a creation inspired by nature – by the rare blue butterfly – that projects itself into the future creating a world of light and colors thanks to the reflections of the innovative 3M multilayer optical film. The transformation of the caterpillar into a butterfly is a symbol of birth and innovation and inspires the magic light reflections which create surprising and engaging lighting scenarios, worth to be visited for an exciting experience.
