An old warehouse to be restored in the industrial area of Barona in Milan. The new project has seen a partial demolition of the building for re-creating interior divisions.
External covering has been made with 610 aluminum panels.
Floors are made in polished concrete.
We adopted a lighter system made of polystyrene elements to limit the weight of new slabs.
The original structure of the warehouse was totally un-covered and restored. The new project considered an external covering made of aluminum panels and the installation of new doors and windows. Interior structure was partially demolished and re-build: the crawl space has been re-done and the new floor covering was made in polished concrete. Interior division was re-created through false ceiling and false walls in plasterboard. During works the customer asked to reduce the weight of new slabs, thus we decided to use polystyrene elements.
Restoration operations involved also electrical, water and sewerage systems. The operation considered also urbanization works to improve road access, build new service rooms and a sidewalk.
