With Vacuum Atelier, we transform waste materials into design objects

What if we told you that a lot can be created with very little? Would you believe it?
It might seem impossible, yet at Taramelli, it has happened and will continue to happen thanks to our collaboration with Vacuum Atelier, an architectural studio from Bergamo founded by Gino Baldi and Serena Comi, winners of the Big See Interior Design Award 2023. This special project stems from the desire to breathe new life into what is no longer needed. How?

Listen: the architects and designers at Vacuum Atelier delve into the waste materials generated by our renovation and construction projects, carefully selecting pieces according to their aesthetic taste and sensitivity. They transform them into exclusive design objects, ready to be returned to the market. Sustainability, uniqueness, and creativity are the keywords: from separate, isolated pieces with a specific purpose, unique objects are born. While being sustainable in an increasingly eco-conscious market ensures competitiveness and appeal, for us, it means much more: sustainability is a matter of conscience, a cultural exercise practised daily.

Talking about it is one thing, but being truly sustainable is another.

This is why, together with Vacuum Atelier, we have created a sustainable factory of ideas, production, and sales: a space for research, design, and experimentation focused on reusing construction site waste. In concrete terms, we save energy on waste disposal and economic resources to generate new opportunities.

As Bruno Munari once said, “Something comes from something.” We believe in it. Do you?
